How to Make a Pretty Tile Trivet with Aspect Tiles

Ever have leftover materials from a home improvement project you’ve completed? We have, more times than we can count. We’ve often wondered how to creatively use those items to avoid contributing to the landfill.

The like-minded and extremely creative Scottie (of the Saved By Scottie blog) was inspired to turn trash into treasure with some leftover backsplash tiles in a tile trivet project.

As she was also going to lead some workshops at the Philly Home Show last weekend, she reached out to us for materials to use and we helped make it happen. She used our 3×6 Aspect tiles in metal and glass for her trivets. She also partnered with Pure Bond plywood for another workshop and they agreed to supply the 1/4″ plywood for the trivet backing. Each workshop attendee was allowed to create their own trivet to bring home.

Read her blog post here, and check out our Aspect brand site. You’ll see all the different colors and materials offered for your next backsplash (or trivet) project.
